“A beautiful print is a thing in itself, not just a halfway house on the way
to the page” - Irving Penn
For over 20 years I’ve been a fine art black and white printer in NYC. I started out in the Richard Avedon Studio, then as co-founder of Silverworks, and now with my own lab in Greenwich Village. Over the years I’ve had the privilege to work with many of photography’s established masters as well as young emerging talents.
My business is not a lab in the typical sense of the word. I’m a custom black and white printer who prefers to work one-on-one with my clients. My goal with this close collaboration is to better fulfill the vision of the photographer, whether it be an exquisite contact print or a stunning 4' x 8' mural.
I also give private lessons to photographers who want to create their own prints.
My darkroom is available for the more experienced printer and photographer who desires a private space in Manhattan to work on individual images or large projects.
Whatever your photography needs are, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to working with you.
